3 things you probably shouldn’t worry while applying for Masters

When you start applying for Masters, you will have millions of doubts with the application process, VISA, blocked account and most of you will be unsure about the leap that you’re going to take, by pursuing Masters. Here is a list of 3 things, that you shouldn’t worry at this point:

germany, study

Getting a job
This is the first and foremost thing that most of the you will be worrying about. I feel that, you need not worry about it while you are sitting in your home-country. There is nothing that you can do but worry, sitting in your home-country. There is no point in asking the seniors or someone over Facbook that, whether you will get job or not. It is more a personal choice and getting a job differs from candidate to candidate.

No one can predict your future and no one really knows the job-scenario. What do you mean, when you ask “How is the job-scenario?”. The person to whom you are asking this will be from a different field or will be working in different domain and how can he/she make the choice for you? And moreover, when you are going to take a huge leap and pursue Masters, how can  you trust a unknown person and take steps according to his/her experiences?

For instance, one person might have had bad experiences with his interviews, maybe because of lack of skills or bad performance during interviews. That person will start scolding about the country and talk bad things about the job-scenario. When you encounter such a person, he will make you question your decision to do Masters.

Do not pursue Masters with others’ opinion or experiences. You need to pursue Masters for your interest towards that subject or field. If not, you will find it very difficult to complete Masters and you will become the person who scolds about the job-scenario.

PR
Some of you also have the doubt about getting a PR after getting a job in Germany. This is one of the most absurd queries that I had encountered. Why will you worry about getting a PR, when you haven’t even got an ADMIT? Moreover, how does that matter when you want to pursue Masters. Your only goal should be to complete your Masters successfully with better grades and projects.

If you’re studying only for immigration purposes, then it is highly unlikely that you will perform well in your Masters, which in-turn will affect your job. You need to pursue Masters for the love of the subject and I repeat that, studying Masters isn’t as easy as it seems.

Part-time jobs
Many applicants are also worried about getting part-time job, so as to support their living expenses. I completely understand this situation, but I suggest you not to worry about it at the time of application or sitting in your home-country. Literally you cannot do anything from your home-country, but learn German; which will help you immensely during search for part-time jobs. There will be notice boards, online forums and seniors in your university who will help you with searching for part-time jobs.

From my personal experience and observations, unless the city in which you live is very remote; you will definitely find some part-time job and working during the weekends will be more than enough to sustain your stay in Germany.

All the above are only from my experiences and observations, if the reader has a difference in opinion, I duly appreciate and respect it.
