Course
This should be the only thing that everyone must be worried about. All the other factors come after this, because the course which you’re going to study will have the biggest impact on your life with respect to job, salary, etc., You must take utmost care while choosing a course, to pursue Masters. Stop thinking about jobs, PR, etc., and think about whether you like the subject, whether you understand the subject and analyze your capability to take a such a huge leap.
Go through the course modules and subjects, check for the syllabus and opportunities that the course offers; like internships, HiWi, etc., There is no point in coming to Germany and then realizing that you do not like the course and then complaining about everything. Because, if you do not like the course, then you will not do well in the exams; trust me, you cannot pass the exams if you don’t understand the concepts. If you don’t do well in the exams, you will not get good internships/thesis in companies, when you apply for jobs the companies will ask for experience or number of projects that you’ve completed and then you will start complaining about the job scenario eventually.

If you are planning to pursue PhD after your Masters studies, then start thinking about the area in which you would like to pursue. Start contacting Professors via emails and at least one or two will reply. Check out for the research institutes in Germany and look out for the current research topics, which will help you to fix on a research topic for your internship or thesis. These kind of steps will ensure you to work on a topic that is latest and which in-turn will help you during your job hunt.
