ADMIT!! ADMIT!! ADMIT!! This is the only word, that many of you would have heard in the recent times and would be on 'cloud nine'. But, do you think that, this is it? Having received your admit, you have a lot more things to do now. This isn't the end, you have to prepare yourself and do all the other process, which will lead to a smooth transition from your home-country to Europe. I have gathered a list of main pointers that you need to do.
- University selection:
You might have got admits from 3-4 universities and you are confused to choose the best among them. This will be a life-changing decision, which will have drastic effects on your career. You need someone to help you out with it. Because, the University and the course matters a lot for your career. You need to know the honest review of the course and University. When you are in your home-country, you will not know the real conditions here and the value of your degree. You need to get to know the location of the university, which will affect your part-time opportunites, internship opportunities, etc., - Blocked account:
By this time, you would have gathered the details about blocked account. You need to put the minimum amount for the visa approval. You can also deposit more than the specified limit, which will be available to you after you reach and de-block your account. There may be two or three options to open the account, it is upto you to choose the best option. - Bank loan:
There maybe some candidates, who might need to avail bank loan for their studies. Generally, when you go to a Public bank/Govt bank, it may take almost 2-3 months for them to approve your loan; but they give at a less interest rate and they need more documents for their safety. On the other hand, Private banks will process your application in less than a month; but they have more interest rate. It is upto you to choose the one suitable for your situation. - Visa application:
This is the tricky part, you need to know the proper documents to submit and also if there are any discrepancy in your process or docs, the embassy is going to reject your application. There are chances that your application might be rejected due to, improper documents, applying for VISA after your course has started, mistakes, etc., You might need someone to help you in this and rather not screw up by yourself. I have seen many people getting visa rejection, and had to wait for one more semester to apply again. - Purchasing:
You need to be more careful and plan it properly. Because, in your enthusiasm you will definitely spend more on buying unwanted things and at last carry only half of it. It has happened to me personally and there was no one to guide me through it. I had to leave half of my things due to baggage constraints.
