We have started this series of articles, in order to answer the queries from applicants to German universities and we have successfully marched into week 7 and here goes our answers to various questions from our readers.
Before you read further, please note that although some questions may seem "silly" to you, but there are many others who do not know the answers. So, we have answered even the silliest questions in this post and if you already know answers for some of the questions, please skip and move onto the next.
Q: I am applying for 2018 summer semester. What steps and preparations should I take up?
A: The first step will be to check out DAAD website, to look for courses that match your profile. In the mean time, you can start learning German language; also take up exams like GRE, IELTS/TOEFL. Here is a timeline for preparation
Q: I am a iOS developer and would like to study MS in Computer Science. I have 2.5 years of experience and thus, should I study Masters or can I get a job directly with my experience?
A: You should pursue Masters, only if you "really" like the subject and field. Masters is not easy and thus if you are not in a stable state of mind, it is better to re-think. I cannot comment on whether you will get a job or not.
Q: I got admit in Uni Stuttgart, but I am planning to come to Frankfurt and then take a train. Is this feasible and can I carry my luggage in train?
A: This is completely feasible and many students/passengers do the same. There is nothing to worry
Q: Can you give me a list of things to purchase for my travel to Germany?
A: Please find the post here - Things to purchase
Q: Which is best? Renewable energy or Embedded Systems?
A: There is no way that you can let others make your career decisions. You should sit down and check the course which you like, because studying Masters is not a easy task and needs a lot of hard work. Or else, there is a high chance of getting a rejection or flunking in exams.
Do you have any questions? Even a question which may seem "silly" might cost your admit! Do not hesitate to send it via email to unofficialgermany@gmail.com
