Moving to a new country, which has different kind of weather, different orientation of traffic, different cultural background, which is far away from HOME is going to be really difficult. I have been there, done that and this article is a summary of my experience in Germany.
UNIVERSITY/COURSE:
It is going to difficult for you to adapt to the method of teaching in German universities, where the lectures takes place with the help of presentations(PPT) by the Professor, which will be later passed on to you as NOTES. You will not be spoon-fed with the topics and the professors will not care for your grades. Their job is just to teach you the concepts and evaluate your understanding of the same.
In most of the classes, there won't be any "attendance" taken and literally no one cares whether you attend the lectures or not. Also, the question paper will vary every semester; for example exam-1 will have total of 80 marks and the duration will be 2 hours, whereas exam-2 will be just 37 marks and the duration will be 1 hour. These type of examination pattern will be new to many students and will be kind of difficult to understand and adapt.
Also, you will never know what to expect in the exams. And most of the times the syllabus for the semester will depend on the portions covered in the class and hence it becomes difficult to refer the previous question papers.
LIFE in GERMANY:
This topic depends on where you live in Germany, but summarizing the difficulties one will find it really hard to adapt to the climatic conditions. It will be worse, if you are from a country with tropical climate; since you will not be used to the new type of weather where the days are shorter and nights are long, also this sometimes has its effects on your productivity. Sometimes, you will feel cozy to sleep and would like to skip the early morning class at the university.
Apart from the weather, if you are from the Asian continent you would miss your food; since most of you won't be used to eating bread and soups as your daily meal. At times, instant noodles does come in handy but, you cannot live your life with these. You need to learn cooking or at least adapt to the German culture of eating Bread and Wurst.
Moving on, you will find it strange with the huge amount of paper-work involved in everything in Germany. It will be a lot difficult, if you are studying in a small city where they do not have a big population of the foreigners and thus most of the application forms will be completely in German. Whereas, if you are living in larger cities like Dresden, Berlin, etc., you will find it much easier with the paper-work, as you can find English sub-text in most of the forms.

On the whole, when you arrive at Germany for the first time you will find many things to be completely alien to you; but trust me, once you get to know the way things work here it will be lot more easier. My only advice is to, keep your eyes open to learn new things which will help you to easily adapt yourself.
