Before you read further, please note that although some questions may seem "silly" to you, but there are many others who do not know the answers. Q: When is the appropriate time to apply for VISA?
A: Some websites tell you not to apply 3 months before your departure. In my opinion, you need to apply for your VISA as soon as possible. Sometimes, due to huge amount of applications the VISA process may get delayed. It is better to apply soon and you can specify your departure date during stamping.

A: No, you need to submit all the necessary documents listed in the Checklist for VISA. The main thing to check is your blocked account, and make sure you put your 8000 something in it before your VISA interview

Q: Can we change the university after getting VISA?
A: Yes, I have seen many of my friends doing that. The VISA that you get is a "German National VISA", which allows you to stay at any place in Germany.

A: Yes, at first you will get only 3 months of VISA. You need to register yourself first and then extend your VISA.
