My German VISA experience | Chennai consulate | Guest post | Winter 2017

My visa experience in Chennai consulate:

My  Visa appointment date was on Sept 1st,  the visa charges were revised as Rs.5600 and mentioned in the German consulate website, but unfortunately they said that there was some mistake in the site  and we were informed that the actual charges are around Rs.5700 and told to change the DD.


My visa appointment: 1st Sept, 2017 – 9:00 AM (Chennai consulate)
We were allowed inside the room at 8:30 AM and the person at the front desk gave a sheet and told to arrange our documents according to that. Later he called one by one, and he checked and sorted out the needed documents. He gave the token number and told us to wait.
I got token number 3 and a German lady was my VO.

Me: Good Morning mam.

VO: Good Morning, Can you please give your documents?
Me: I gave my documents and my passport.
She returned back my dd, and told to change it within 1:00 PM.
VO: She saw my Work exp and asked a few questions related to that.
How many years you worked there? Are you still working there?
Me: Mam, I worked for about eight months, and I resigned now.
VO: When did you resign?
Me: Answered.
VO: What is the connection between your undergraduate studies and the postgraduate?
(I got embedded in TU Chemnitz and I did my UG in Electrical and Electronics engineering).
Me : I had studied about electronics in my UG and I am fascinated to do many real time projects in that field. Embedded is related to electronics hardware and software, so I preferred this course.
VO: What are your future plans?
Me:  I want to do PhD mam.
VO: Really? All the best. We will mail you regarding the status.
Me: Thank you mam.
She was typing something and took my finger prints.

The visa went in a positive manner for me, but the guy who went before me was told to write a letter of motivation in a sheet of paper.
