In most of the Facebook groups related to Admissions in Germany, you can see 4 out of 5 posts from Prospective students, who wants to know the scope of the particular field and also the job opportunities. When you analyse these doubts, we can clearly understand that these "Prospective students" wants someone to tell them that, the decision that they have made is right and their "investment" in Germany will be worth it.
I have been staying in Germany for 2 years and I have helped so many students over the years and these questions have never changed. So, I would like to address this topic and enlighten the risks of studying in Germany.
- Financial risks:
From my experience, I can tell that you will need approximately 10-15 lakhs INR. This amount will vary from place to place, because of the difference in cost of living in various places. I have also seen many students surviving with just 7 lakhs INR, by getting a part-time job to support their living expenses.
According to my perspective, all the students are more concerned about money; because it is their hard earned money or the money from Banks, which they have to payback in the later stage. In these two years, this is their first question for 90% of the students with whom I have conversed. - Job opportunities:
This is the second most doubt that each and every students asks in the social media. They are not sure, because Germany is a new country to them and they are afraid that, they will not end up in a Job after spending almost 10 lakhs INR.
Believe me, Germany has a lot of job opportunities that aren't available in India. But, the point is they need quality people. Unlike TCS, WIPRO, HCL, the Germany companies does not take up all the candidates that apply for the job. They need you to show your real talent and knowledge before they grant you the job. The companies need you to be sure and concrete on your basics and it is all upto you to showcase them.
In my personal point of view, no country wants immigrants to come and take up the available jobs. If you think properly, it is all in your hands on how you sell yourself to the company. - Part-time jobs:
Many are also eager to know about the part-time opportunities and how much they can earn and how many days they are allowed to work, etc., The German Bureaucracy allows you to work for 120 full days or 240 half-days and the good thing is you will get a minimum pay of 8.5 euro/hour. It is upto you to get a part-time job, where the knowledge of German plays a significant role.

Trust me, it is normal to have these doubts and to be frank, even I had these same insecurities two years back, before I came to Germany. But, there is no point in posting it in Facebook/Social media; rather do your research properly and pursue what you want and not by asking others. Because, no one is entitled to reply your doubts in Social media and you cannot take life-changing decisions according to someone else's belief.
P.S: This article is written according to my point of view and if you have a difference in opinion, I do respect it.
