The #1 rule to get an ADMIT in German Universities
Over the course of 3 years in GermanyUnofficial, we have seen a lot of candidates who have got an admit with even 65% of marks in his/her Bachelor" studies and also we have seen candidates who have above 90% of marks and get a rejection. On doing some basic research and analysis, we got to know the #1 rule to get an ADMIT in German univerisities.Apply ASAP
YES. The #1 rule to get an ADMIT is to apply as soon as the applications open. To apply ASAP, one needs to have all the documents, transcripts, etc., ready at least one week before the applications open. Before all this, one needs to have the list of universities and courses that he/she is going to apply.
We have seen candidates, who are bit lethargic with their applications and think that the admission deadline is 3 months away and thus, he/she can apply with in that 3 months. This is a BIG NO, with respect to German university applications.

- One of our community member, had 8.5 CGPA with excellent internships and extra-curricular activities. But still he got a rejection from TU Darmstadt and other universities, just because he had applied late.
- Another community member, had just 7 CGPA with mediocre co-curricular activies. We helped him with his SOP and CV, to communicate properly to the university about his motivation and goals. We had also encouraged him to apply within one week of the application opening and he got an admit in TU Dresden and HTW Berlin.
One can ask, how can you be sure that applying sooner will fetch an admit? We are sure about this, because from our experience we have seen that, the German universities do not wait till the deadline to give the admissions. Most of the universities have their deadline till June end for the corresponding Winter semester, but they start to roll-out the admissions from May so that International students can apply for VISA and other procedures.
They do this because the universities are aware of the VISA problems and thus they tend to provide the admission as soon as possible. Also, when you apply sooner there will be less competition for you to compete with - meaning there will be less number of applications arriving early and if you satisfy the basic requirements, then you have a high chance of getting an ADMIT.
