Racism & Xenophobia in Germany | Should you be worried?



With the recent elections in Germany, the "Alternative für Deutschland" party has won a considerable amount of votes this time. This party is known for its right wing policies and the people are against foreigners, non-German people, etc., In the last election this party had just meagre 5% of the votes, but this time it has emerged as the major party from the Saxony(sachsen) region with Dresden as the main point.

    1. I am no one to give an opinion or conclusion about the German elections. This article is more of a news to anyone coming new to Germany. I have been living in Saxony for the past 3 years and I haven't faced any problems. But, I cannot guarantee on what may happen in the future.

Another State in Germany to introduce tution-fees | #MustRead

Another state in Germany is also planning to introduce fees in the coming years. There has been a latest article about it in the "Spiegel" Newspaper and here is a translated version of it. With a new fee for foreign students, North Rhine-Westphalia wants to improve its education budget. The CDU and the FDP have agreed on Friday in their coalition negotiations to demand 1500 euros per semester from every student coming from a country outside the European Union. The black-yellow coalition plans to put the money into the universities of the country. They could take up to 100 million euros per year in the medium term, said FDP boss Christian Lindner.
